2016 Championship Season begins for Napa Compulsory Gymnasts



The Level 5 Junior Olympic Team from the Gymnastics Zone competed against the best Level 5 gymnasts in Northern California in the USA Gymnastics Level 5 State Championships November 5 and 6 at Oroville Gymnastics in Oroville.  Two girls left with state titles and two left seeded in the top 100 level 5 gymnasts in the country.

The results are as follows:


Child B Age Division
Tatum McKinley – first on vault (state champion), tenth on floor and eleventh all-around with a score of 35.550.

Child E Age Division
Naomi Uemura – tenth on vault, ninth on beam and ninth all-around with a score of 35.650.

Child F Age Division
Emily Tran – first on vault (state champion), sixth on bars, fourth on floor and ninth all-around with a score of 35.850.  Emily’s scores for this meet placed her as the 98th seed on vault among level 5 gymnasts in the United States.
Audrey Jonas – fifth on vault, tenth on bars, sixth on floor and tenth all-around with a score of 35.600.

Junior A Age Division
Fallon Abernathy – fourth on vault, second on bars, seventh on beam, fourth on floor and sixth all-around with a score of 36.650.  Fallon’s scores for this meet placed her as the 98th seed on bars among level 5 gymnasts in the United States.

Junior D Age Division
Morgan Phipps – fourth on vault, fifth on floor and ninth all-around with a score of 35.325.

Senior B Age Division
Alexa Rendon – seventh on vault, ninth on bars, seventh on beam and eighth all-around with a score of 35.425.

Senior D Age Division
Alex Westfall – tenth on vault, fourth on beam and eleventh all-around with a score of 34.850.

The Level 4 team qualifiers will attend their state championships this weekend at Callinan Sports Center in Rohnert Park, hosted by Redwood Empire Gymnastics.
