Gymnastics Zone Boys Team finishes regular season competition with wins



The Gymnastics Zone Boys Junior Olympic Team led by head coach Mike Terhorst finished their regular season competition at the Gold Country Classic on February 19-21 hosted by Bayshore Elite Men’s Gymnastics and held at the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond.  The teams culminated their season competition with both teams brining home team awards as well as several individuals finishing in the top three on events and all-around.

The results are as follows:



Level 4 Team

6 year age Division
Gabriel Deeik – sixth on floor, second on pommel, first on rings, fourth on vault, second on parallel bars, fourth on high bar and third all-around with a score of 55.800.



8 year age division
Ethan Exum – second on floor, second on pommel, first on rings, second on vault, first on parallel bars, ninth on high bar and second all-around with a score of 58.000.

Mario Delanni – first on floor, fifth on pommel, third on rings, third on vault, third on parallel bars, sixth on high bar and third all-around with a score of 57.600.

Thomas Malloy –seventh on floor, fourth on pommel, ninth on rings, sixth on vault, ninth on parallel bars, fifth on high bar and fifth all-around with a score of 55.500.

Leonardo Deeik – sixth on floor, second on pommel, fifth on parallel bars, ninth on high bar and eighth all-around with a score of 54.200.



9 year age division
Riley Grinnell – seventh on pommel, third on rings, second on vault, seventh on parallel bars, seventh on high bar and seventh all-around with a score of 57.600.



10 year+ age division
Matthew Payne – ninth on floor, seventh on pommel, fourth on rings, third on parallel bars, eighth on high bar and ninth all-around with a score of 55.100.

Logan Nations – ninth on rings, sixth on vault and twelfth all-around with a score of 50.800.



The Level 4 Team placed third with a score of 175.400.




Level 5 Team

8-9 year age Division
Petar Zivkovic – fourth on pommel, fifth on rings, fifth on vault, third on parallel bars, fourth on high bar and third all-around with a score of 61.700.



11 years+ age Division
Noah Pack – first on floor, first on pommel, fourth on rings, second on vault, fourth on parallel bars, first on high bar and first all-around with a score of 63.300.

Lukas Rieken – second on floor, fifth on pommel, first on rings, eighth on high bar and second all-around with a score of 60.700.

Liam Wallace Harper – second on floor, fifth on pommel, sixth on rings, third on vault, sixth on parallel bars, fourth on high bar and third all-around with a score of 59.800.

Eamonn Weinstock –seventh on pommel, sixth on vault and twelfth all-around with a score of 52.500.

Emilio Delanni – ninth on floor, fourth on parallel bars and fourteenth all-around with a score of 50.700.


The level 5 team placed first with a score of 186.400.


The boys teams will compete next at State Championships on March 12-13 hosted by and held at Performance Athletics in San Luis Obispo.

Gymnastics Zone Xcel Teams compete in Los Angeles



The Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond Xcel competitive teams from the Gymnastics Zone competed last weekend at the Gymnastics Legends International competition hosted by All Olympia Gymnastics Center and held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.  The girls competed against gymnasts from Southern California and Texas at the biggest meet of their season.

The results are as follows:

Xcel Silver Team

Child 9-12 age division
Georgia Morris – second on vault, first on bars, first on beam, first on floor and first all-around with a score of 38.025.
Evelyn Gillis – seventh on vault, seventh on bars, second on beam, third on floor and fourth all-around with a score of 36.400.
Marin Hartless – seventh on vault, second on bars, third on beam, fifth on floor and fifth all-around with a score of 36.350.

Junior/Senior 13+ age division
Katie Smircich – first on vault, first on bars, first on beam, fourth on floor and first all-around with a score of 37.525.
Kate Nations – second on vault, second on bars, second on beam, third on floor and second all-around with a score of 37.250.
Paige Moore – third on vault, fourth on bars, fifth on beam, first on floor and third all-around with a score of 36.650.
Olivia McDonald – sixth on vault, third on bars, fourth on beam, eighth on floor and sixth all-around with a score of 35.350.

The Silver team placed first with a score of 113.325.

Xcel Gold Team

Child 9-12 age division
Celeste Calderon – third on vault, first on bars, third on beam, first on floor and first all-around with a score of 36.650.
Mia Meadows – first on vault, second on bars, first on beam, second on floor and second all-around with a score of 36.625.

Junior/Senior 13+ age division
Sofia Leonardini – sixth on vault, first on bars, ninth on beam, second on floor and fourth all-around with a score of 35.125.
Samantha Patterson – eighth on vault, sixth on bars, sixth on on beam, sixth on floor and seventh all-around with a score of 34.650.
Alexi Rosenbrand – fifth on vault, eighth on bars, seventh on beam, fourth on floor and ninth all-around with a score of 34.300.

The Gold Team placed first with a score of 109.175.
 
Xcel Platinum Team

Child +9-12 age division
Livia Hedberg – first on vault, first on bars, second on beam, third on floor and first all-around with a score of 36.225.
Emily Travis – second on vault, second on bars, fourth on beam, first on floor and second all-around with a score of 35.400.
Reese Larson – third on vault, fourth on bars, first on beam, third on floor and third all-around with a score of 35.325
Emmilia Moy – fourth on vault, third on bars, third on beam, second on floor and fourth all-around with a score of 35.125.

Junior/Senior 13+ age division
Eliana Lawson – sixth on vault, third on bars, second on beam, sixth on floor and fourth all-around with a score of 35.225.
Adaline Hanes – seventh on vault, fifth on bars, fifth on beam, fifth on floor and fifth all-around with a score of 34.100.
Casey LeTourneau – fourth on vault, fifth on bars, seventh on beam, fourth on floor and sixth all-around with a score of 33.925.
Jena Knoblock – fourth on vault, seventh on bars, sixth on beam, seventh on floor and seventh all-around with a score of 32.650.

The Platinum Team finished first with a score of 108.150.


Xcel Diamond Team

All-age division
Shanna Hunt –first on vault, first on bars, first on beam, first on floor and first all-around with a score of 34.550.

The Xcel Bronze and Silver Teams will compete again on February 27-28 at the Blue Ribbon Classic Hosted by and held at High Definition Gymnastics in Livrmore.  The Gold, Platinum and Diamond Teams will compete also on February 27-28 at the Deltchev Invitational hosted by Deltchev Gymnastics and held at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino on Reno, NV.

Gymnastics Zone optional team competes at international meet in Los Angeles



The Junior Olympic Optional Teams from the Gymnastics Zone competed last weekend in the Gymnastics Legends International meet hosted by All Olympia Gymnastics, home of 2012 Olympic Gold and Silver Medalist and World Champion Makayla Maroney – the event was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. 
The meet hosted gymnasts from Canada and Mexico as well as from all across the United States.  Both Junior Olympic and Elite levels competed at the event which was a fantastic experience for the fifteen gymnasts from Napa who spend most of their competitive season competing against other girls from USA Gymnastics Region 1 which consists of Northern California, Southern California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah.


The results are as follows:

Level 6 Team
Senior 13+ Age Division
Ashley Gilbert – ninth on vault, seventh on bars, eighth on floor and ninth all-around with a score of 34.050.


Level 7 Team
Junior 11-12 age division
Ashlyn Parlett – eighth on vault and sixteenth all-around with a score of 36.150.
Camille Silva – twenty-second all-around with a score of 34.425.

Junior 13 age division
Maddison Fernandez  – seventh on bars, seventh on beam, sixth on floor and seventh all-around with a score of 36.650.
Shannon Sowersby – thirteenth all-around with a score of 34.025.

Senior 14+ age division
Haley Corrigan – fourteenth all-around with a score of 34.625.
Kristina Meno – sixteenth all-around with a score of 33.225.


Level 8 Team
Junior 12-13 age division
Rosie Urquhart – second on beam, fifth on floor and ninth all-around with a score  35.975.


Level 9 Team
Junior 13 age division
Katy Cordeiro – third on vault, sixth on bars and seventh all-around with a score of 34.625.

Senior 14-15 age division
Blake Gozashti – sixth on vault, first on floor and sixth all-around with a score of 34.850.
Ariana Roberston (vault and floor specialist) – eleventh on vault and eleventh on floor.
Savannah Nied (floor specialist) – twentieth on floor

Senior 16+ age division
Olivia Stewart (vault, beam and floor specialist) – second on vault, second on beam and third on floor.


Level 10 Team
Junior 14-15 age division
Maya Uemura – fourth on vault, ninth on floor and twelfth all-around with a score of 35.325.
Thea Michovsky – fourth on floor and sixteenth all-around with a score of 34.750.



The four Optional teams will compete next at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge on February 26-28 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Gymnastics Zone Xcel Bronze Team competes in Rohnert Park



The Bronze Xcel team from the Gymnastics Zone competed last weekend at the Totally Awesome 80’s Meet hosted by and held at Rohnert Park Gymnastics.

The results are as follows:

Xcel Bronze Team

Younger age division
Isabelle Grace – fifth on vault, third on bars, fifth on beam, first on floor and first all-around with a score of 36.800.
Tate Renaudin – first on vault, second on bars, seventh on beam, second on floor and third all-around with a score of 36.725.

Middle age division
Chloe Barrett – first on vault, first on bars, second on beam, first on floor and first all-around with a
score of 37.850.

Older age division
Hannah Jonas – third on vault, first on bars, third on beam, first on floor and first all-around with a score of 38.175.
Lauren Barrett – fifth on vault, second on bars, first on beam, third on floor and second all-around with a score of 37.850.
Natalie Wetzel – fifth on vault, fifth on beam, fifth on floor and sixth all-around with a score of 36.625.
Ruby Reate – eighth on vault, ninth on bars, seventh on floor and tenth all-around with a score of 35.700.
Alexia Oltramare – seventh on vault, fourth on bars and eleventh all-around with a score of 35.275.

The Bronze Xcel team finished in first place with a score of 113.975.

The Gold, Platinum and Diamond Xcel teams will compete next at the Gymnastics Legends Invitational hosted by All Olympia Gymnastics Center at the Lost Angeles Convention Center on February 20 & 21.
