Three new State Champions for Gymnastics Zone

Level 3 State Champions

Arianna Diebert, Kate Parker and Keira O’Callahan stood out from the field at the USA Gymnastics Norcal Level 3 North State Championships on November 19 and 20 held at Jackson Sports Academy in McClellan; hosted by Technique Gymnastics.  Ten of the thirteen level 3 team members from the zone qualified during their regular season competition for the championships where they were vying for state titles against the other best level 3 gymnasts from the northern half of Northern California.

The results are as follows:

Child B Age Division
Lily Turner – second on vault, ninth on bars, sixth on beam, eighth on floor and sixth all-around with a score of 35.700.
Kaitlyn Conway – third on vault, fourth on floor and tenth all-around with a score of 35.000.

Child D Age Division
Arianna Diebert – first on vault (State Champion), second on bars, second on beam, second on floor and first all-around (State Champion) with a score of 37.025.

Child E Age Division
Kate Parker – fifth on vault, first on beam (State Champion), first on floor (State Champion) and fourth all-around with a score of 36.625.

Child F Age Division
Soraya Towey – second on vault, sixth on bars and eleventh all-around with a score of 34.925.

Junior A Age Division
Stella Sebastiani – seventh on vault, sixth on bars and twelfth all-around with a score of 34.825.

Junior C Age Division
Teegan Sigouney – eighth on bars (scratched vault and floor due to injury)

Junior E Age Division
Nicole Patterson – fifth on bars, fourth on beam, fifth on floor and sixth all-around with a score of 36.850.

Junior F Age Division
Keira O’Callahan – fourth on vault, fourth on beam, first on floor (State Champion) and third all-around with a score of 36.175.

Junior G Age Division
Kaylee Costella – sixth on vault, seventh on bars, sixth on beam, ninth on floor and fifth all-around with a score of 36.275.

The compulsory level teams are finished for the season, the Boys, Junior Olympic Girls Optional and Xcel Teams will begin competing in the coming weeks with the Boys opening their season this coming weekend at the Novato Invitational in Novato.

Napa gymnast brings home State Championship

The Level 4 Junior Olympic Team from the Gymnastics Zone competed in the USA Gymnastics Level 4 North State Championships November 12 and 13 at Callinan Sports Center in Rohnert Park hosted by Redwood Empire Gymnastics of Petaluma.  Those who scored high enough all-around scores during the regular season qualified to compete at this meet and one gymnast walked away with a State Champion titles to her name.

Child A Age Division
Kailea Abernathy – sixth on vault, ninth on bars, ninth on beam and fifth all-around with a score of 35.525.

Child D Age Division
Isabella Moore – third on vault, seventh on beam, fourth on floor and sixth all-around with a score of 35.500.

Child E Age Division
Brynna Cohee – fourth on vault, ninth on floor and twelfth all-around with a score of 34.625.


Child F Age Division
Makenzie Madsen – fourth on vault, first on bars (State Champion), fifth on beam, sixth on floor and third all-around with a score of 36.525.
Coralea Wright – sixth on bars and thirteenth all-around with a score of 35.100.


Child H Age Division
Sade Muessel – seventh on vault, fifth on bars, fourth on beam, ninth on floor and fourth all-around with a score of 36.125.


Junior A Age Division
Tessa Taylor – (scratched all events except bars due to injury) ninth on bars.


Junior G Age Division
Mia Sellick – fourth on vault, sixth on bars, seventh on floor and seventh all-around with a score of 34.875.


Senior F Age Division
Samantha Willingham – seventh on vault, second on bars, second on beam, eighth on floor and fourth all-around with a score of 36.150.

The Level 3 team will complete the compulsory season with their State Championship this weekend at the Jackson Sports Academy in McClellan hosted by Technique Gymnastics of Rancho Cordova.

2016 Championship Season begins for Napa Compulsory Gymnasts



The Level 5 Junior Olympic Team from the Gymnastics Zone competed against the best Level 5 gymnasts in Northern California in the USA Gymnastics Level 5 State Championships November 5 and 6 at Oroville Gymnastics in Oroville.  Two girls left with state titles and two left seeded in the top 100 level 5 gymnasts in the country.

The results are as follows:


Child B Age Division
Tatum McKinley – first on vault (state champion), tenth on floor and eleventh all-around with a score of 35.550.

Child E Age Division
Naomi Uemura – tenth on vault, ninth on beam and ninth all-around with a score of 35.650.

Child F Age Division
Emily Tran – first on vault (state champion), sixth on bars, fourth on floor and ninth all-around with a score of 35.850.  Emily’s scores for this meet placed her as the 98th seed on vault among level 5 gymnasts in the United States.
Audrey Jonas – fifth on vault, tenth on bars, sixth on floor and tenth all-around with a score of 35.600.

Junior A Age Division
Fallon Abernathy – fourth on vault, second on bars, seventh on beam, fourth on floor and sixth all-around with a score of 36.650.  Fallon’s scores for this meet placed her as the 98th seed on bars among level 5 gymnasts in the United States.

Junior D Age Division
Morgan Phipps – fourth on vault, fifth on floor and ninth all-around with a score of 35.325.

Senior B Age Division
Alexa Rendon – seventh on vault, ninth on bars, seventh on beam and eighth all-around with a score of 35.425.

Senior D Age Division
Alex Westfall – tenth on vault, fourth on beam and eleventh all-around with a score of 34.850.

The Level 4 team qualifiers will attend their state championships this weekend at Callinan Sports Center in Rohnert Park, hosted by Redwood Empire Gymnastics.

Napa gymnasts Flip Above the Valley

The Junior Olympic compulsory teams from the Gymnastics Zone competed at their homecoming meet last weekend, October 15 and 16 at their home facility here in Napa.  The Level 2 girls, the youngest of the team made their competitive debut while the older and more seasoned girls continued their push toward state championships for the season.

The results are as follows:


Level 2 Team:
All Age Division
Zuleihka Smith – first on vault, first on bars, eighth on beam, second on floor and second all-around with a score of 35.825.
Maddie Seller – fourth on vault, fourth on bars, third on beam, eighth on floor and fourth all-around with a score of 34.725.
Fatima Smith – fourth on vault, seventh on bars, sixth on beam, fifth on floor and sixth all-around with a score of 34.300.

All four teams will compete again this weekend at The Disco-Tech Invitational hosted by Technique Gymnastics in Rancho Cordova.
